Prof. Sourav Kumar Mandal comes with a blend of academic research and applied analytics experience, with his work spanning data analytics, decision support systems, consumer insights, and technology-driven business problem-solving.

Prof. Sourav holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai, and a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. He has submitted his Ph.D. thesis to the Vinod Gupta School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.

His research interests encompass consumer behaviour, text analytics, online consumer reviews, airline passenger experience, service quality, pricing and ancillary revenue management. His research employs quantitative modelling, econometric techniques, machine learning and text analytics to derive meaningful managerial insights from structured and unstructured data.
