Great Lakes in its quest to become a hub for management research and leadership, has created multiple Centres of Excellence which are guided by some of the foremost management thinkers. The Centres of Excellence facilitate research, exchange of ideas, solutions to industry problems and offer guidance to future decision makers.

Over the year we have developed various centers of excellence in several business domains to achieve quantifiable results for our industry partners, these include:

Marketing

Named after Dr. Seenu V Srinivasan, the Adams Distinguished Professor of Management and Director of the Strategic Marketing Management Executive Program, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford, California, USA and Dr. Philip Kotler, the Marketing Guru, this center aims to address and enhance marketing based research in India.

Business

Artificial intelligence is no longer an experimental capability. Across industries, it is becoming embedded in how businesses operate, make decisions, and execute work. As organisations move from pilots to production, they face new challenges around infrastructure, cost, data governance, and the ability to deploy AI systems that function reliably at scale.

The Centre for AI in Business was created in response to this moment, with a clear focus on applied AI that works inside organisations, across real systems, under real constraints.

The Centre for Finance and Economics Research (CFER) at Great Lakes Institute of Management serves as a hub for advancing rigorous, policy-relevant scholarship in finance, economics, and public policy. Through sustained engagement with academic institutions, industry stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, the Centre fosters evidence-based research, generates data-driven insights, and contributes to informed policy discourse.

CFER is committed to developing a vibrant research ecosystem that encompasses faculty-led inquiry, student research initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaborations to strengthen responsible and sustainable financial and economic decision-making.
