PGPM 2025–26 Commencement Program
Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, welcomed the 16th Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) cohort — christened "The Alchemists" — at its Commencement Ceremony on 20 May 2026. The ceremony began with the traditional Lamp-Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing enlightenment.
The Program Director, PGPM, formally welcomed the incoming 16th PGPM batch, setting the tone for an intensive and transformative year ahead.
Welcome Address & Naming of the Batch: PGPM Class of 2026–27 – "The Alchemists"
Dr. Jones Mathew, Former Principal & Head of Institution, delivered the Welcome Address and formally named the incoming class "The Alchemists", continuing the institute's tradition of giving each batch an identity that reflects its collective spirit and aspirations.
Commencement Address by the Chief Guest
Delivering the Commencement Address, Mr. Kunwar Himmat Singh, Director – Corporate Affairs, Nestlé South Asia Region, shared insights from his corporate journey, offering students valuable perspectives on building a meaningful career, managing stakeholder relationships, and leading with purpose.

Vote of Thanks
Prof. Poornima Gupta, Program Director – PGDM, proposed the Vote of Thanks. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, followed by the traditional batch photograph with the Chief Guest and faculty.

Settling In: Campus, Conduct & Karma Yoga
The afternoon sessions introduced students to campus life through:
- Faculty & HOD introductions by Dr. Jones Mathew
- Academic processes and regulations by the Program Office
- Introduction to Karma Yoga by Prof. S.K. Palhan
- Session on GLIM Gurgaon's Vision, Mission & Values, Program Outcomes and Rules of Conduct by the Program Director, PGPM

Each morning during the induction week began with guided yoga sessions led by Prof. S.K. Palhan at the Amphitheatre, promoting mindfulness and well-being.

The induction program featured interactions with senior industry leaders:
Mr. Nitin Madan, MD & CFO at Barclays GCC India delivered a talk on the evolution from foundational data reporting to actionable decision intelligence.
Mr. Atul Pokhriyal, Partner at Boston Consulting Group spoke about Flourishing in the Age of AI
Mr. Param Puneet, MD (Partner), Strategy and Consulting at Accenture spoke about managing enterprise-wide change and unlocking talent potential in an AI-driven era.
Mr. Anup Jain, Founding Partner at BlueGreen Ventures gave a talk on entrepreneurial growth, venture dynamics, and the evolving digital economy.
Mr. Alok D'Souza, Head – Institutional Sales & HoReCa at Parle Agro gave a practical look at unlocking growth, expanding distribution ecosystems, and executing commercial strategy at scale.
Mr. Muthar Basha, Senior Vice President & Head of Sales spoke about Building Future-Ready Leaders at Eveready Industries India Ltd.
Mr. Vinay Trivedi, Chief of Staff (CEO Office) & Global Head, HR and Admin for TerraPay set a real-world perspective on how to align human capital with rapid enterprise growth.
Angad Reyar, Head of Worldwide Inventory Optimization at Amazon offered a practical look at how modern enterprises leverage predictive technology and automation to build faster, leaner, and more resilient global supply chains.
Anjali Dutta, VP & Global Head – Digital Experience Design at Tech Mahindra helped the cohort ground the concept of AI in actionable reality
