Rajesh Kumar Acha is an Assistant Professor in the area of Finance. Prior to joining Great Lakes, he worked as an investment professional for 11 years with leading names in the space like Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited and The Investment Trust of India Limited. During his stint in the corporate, he specialized in investments in Non-performing Loans and companies undergoing bankruptcy proceedings. He also led a remarkable turnaround of an NBFC undergoing deep financial stress.

He holds a Bachelors in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) from Osmania University, PGDM from Indian Institute of Management Indore and a Fellow in Management (equivalent to PhD) from XLRI Jamshedpur. He is also a CFA and FRM Charter holder.

His doctoral research evaluated the Corporate Bankruptcy law in India, using game theorey and experimental methods.

Based on his corporate and research experience in the area of corporate bankruptcy, he developed an MBA level elective course titled `Bankruptcy and Reorganization’, which he offered as a visiting faculty at Indian Institute of Management Indore.
