There is an age old saying, ‘Necessity is the mother of all Inventions’. The current shape of the Industry is a manifestation of several economic, natural or social crises which hit from time to time and each crisis helped businesses emerge stronger and better prepared. The CoVID-19 Pandemic of 2020 gave businesses a big jolt followed by tremendous learning. While every sector became innovative to accommodate the new normal and conduct ‘Business as Usual’, the adoption of innovative tools and techniques varied from industry to industry. Businesses which are resilient, agile, open to change and innovative manage to survive during such crises.

Sapience 2020, the annual management conclave of Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, will focus on the innovative strategies adopted by different sectors which helped them emerge stronger and more powerful . The innovations could be to integrate, but not limited to, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Analytics and most importantly the Human Resource.

Sapience 2020 would be celebrated as a 7 day event between 16th and 31st January, 2021, and would be held online from 4:30 PM to 6 PM on each date given below. All Great Lakes and Great Learning Alumni are welcome to register and join us.

Keynote Address - 16th January, 2021

The new normal ushered in by the global pandemic of 2020 changed consumption patterns among customers and thereby impacted several industries and sectors. Business models had to undergo changes on an unprecedented scale, new products and services and modes to deliver them came to be conceptualized, and technology was embraced more widely at a rapid pace. The keynote address will touch upon these changes, what the future holds, what practices are here to stay, and what we can learn out of this experience.

Marketing innovation must result in an improvement in the value proposition, as far as the customer is concerned; along with, it must exploit the full potential that the market offers as far as the organization is concerned. Although literature separates Marketing Innovation as being distinct from Product, Process and Organizational Innovations, the Marketing Conclave will synergize the four to provide a holistic view of business model design, strategy, and implementation.
