From Infosys in Melbourne to Associate Director at Deloitte UK, Sourav Dey’s journey is an example of purposeful growth, global perspective, and the transformative power of learning.

Before joining Great Lakes, Sourav brought over 4 years of experience driving digital transformation in the BFSI sector. His work created a lasting business impact, whether it be redesigning banking workflows, leading automation efforts across card payments, or integrating legacy systems with user-centric modern platforms. He joined the PGPM program at Great Lakes Institute of Management in 2014. At Great Lakes, he was lovingly known as “Dada”. It was not just a nickname that tagged along, it was an indicator of the warmth and respect he built with his peers. He was a member of the Placement Committee, where he learned to manage high-stakes priorities, be it mentoring peers or engaging with recruiters, Sourav represented Great Lakes with pride.

And one of the most transformative experiences he recalls? The Karma Yoga days - where he had the chance to work closely with the villagers of Mullikulothur, and contributed in uplifting children’s education. This reshaped his understanding of leadership, rooted on values of empathy and service. From negotiation strategies, which still help him in his professional and personal life, to classroom moments with Prof. Dr Tapan Panda , along with his inspiration-filled meetings with Uncle Bala - Sourav’s MBA journey was packed with growth, learning, unforgettable study nights and celebration seasons.

Today, Sourav is an Associate Director in Technology and Transformation at Deloitte UK, specialising in delivering innovative, scalable solutions for the financial services sector. With a strong background in data and extensive experience leading complex cloud-enabled transformations, Sourav has helped clients drive efficiency, resilience, and long-term value. Sourav works closely with vendor alliances in the AI and data space, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to create impactful, data-driven strategies. Beyond the tech, it’s his mindset that stands out: “Don’t hesitate to ask for help — growth begins where comfort ends, and the journey to excellence starts with the courage to learn.”
