Great Lakes Alumni Association

The Great Lakes Institute of Management Alumni Association (GLAA) is the official alumni body of the Great Lakes Institute of Management, representing and serving the institute’s expanding community of graduates. Formed as a registered, not-for-profit association, GLAA exists with a clear purpose: to nurture meaningful relationships among alumni, promote professional and personal growth, and strengthen the connection between the alumni community and the institute.

The objectives of GLAA Chennai are rooted in engagement, collaboration, and contribution. The Association aims to build a strong, active network of alumni; create platforms for industry interaction and thought leadership; support career development and mentorship; celebrate alumni achievements; and encourage alumni involvement in institutional initiatives. These goals reflect the core belief that an engaged alumni community is central to the long-term growth and reputation of Great Lakes.

GLAA functions through a well-defined structure to ensure transparency, continuity, and effective representation. The Association is led by elected office-bearers and chapter representatives who serve fixed terms and are responsible for planning events, managing initiatives, coordinating with the institute, and ensuring that alumni across batches remain connected and informed. Working alongside the Alumni Relations Office, the chapter maintains a seamless bridge between alumni and the institute, enabling collaborative activities and community-driven programs.

GLAA leverages digital platforms—especially the Great Lakes Alumni Portal hosted on Vaave— https://alumni.greatlakes.edu.in/home to keep alumni engaged through event updates, networking opportunities, job postings, discussions, collaborations and access to chapter and institute news. This ensures that alumni, whether in Chennai or across the world, remain connected to the community with ease and accessibility.
