Class of 2006
PGPM
Ramya Nirmal began her career as a software engineer building applications for the manufacturing sector.
With less than a year of experience she chose the PGPM at Great Lakes Institute of Management, a decision that reshaped how she approached work and learning. The programme widened her field of view, encouraged disciplined inquiry, and placed her among peers whose varied experience forced careful examination of assumptions.
The friendships formed in that period continue to anchor her professional life.
Her first role after graduation was with TVS Electronics, where she observed closely how non-technical users interact with enterprise systems. Those observations settled a conviction that guides her leadership: technology must serve people, and not the reverse.
She then joined Sengen LLC as a Business Analyst, grew to head India operations, and helped build a product from the ground up. The work required sound product engineering, market fit, and the patience to move from concept to adoption.
At CI Global she advanced from Delivery Head to Chief Executive Officer. She has overseen more than one hundred product releases, entered new markets, and led teams through shifts in cloud, ERP, modernisation, mobile, and analytics. She also led the creation of RubiCube, a use-case-driven analytics product for manufacturing, restaurants, and bakeries that enables practical decision-making with data.
Across these chapters her approach has remained consistent: pair technical clarity with a user-first lens, invest in teams, and keep asking the questions that turn information into judgement.
The lessons carried from campus are visible in her practice every day.
