Alumni Series #7

Chennai, 2009

Hiranjith H entered Great Lakes Institute of Management after half a decade at Accenture, where he advised North American clients on large scale customer relationship systems. The assignment required fluent technical command and dependable coordination across cultures and time zones, yet he sensed that deeper judgement would come only from structured study.

Returning to full-time academia proved exacting. Classroom debate, guided by scholars who pressed for evidence before opinion, supplied fresh ways to diagnose commercial questions. Informal discussions with peers from manufacturing, finance, and public policy extended the exercise well past timetable hours.

He came to appreciate two enduring maxims: a professional network functions as tangible capital, and credibility accrues to those who deliver rather than those who merely promise.

The fifteen years that followed placed him at the intersection of technology, data, and market entry. Roles with consulting, analytics, and growth stage firms drew on his capacity to translate complex ideas into workable operating plans. He now serves as Chief Business Officer at Algorithmic Biologics, where he guides the international launch of a molecular computing platform intended for high throughput screening and diagnostic assay design. The work combines scientific precision with regulatory navigation and commercial foresight.

Throughout these assignments he has adopted a steady view of resistance. He maintains that an adverse response, whether from a regulator, an investor, or a technical review, signals an opportunity to refine the proposition.

His preferred motto remains:

A negative answer marks the point at which one must raise the standard of one's argument
