Library Resources Dear All, Greetings!!

We are happy to inform that the Chennai based Alumni Members can avail the following services and facilities from the Resource Centre at Great lakes Institute of Management

Alumni Membership

Resource Centre Enrollment processing Fee and borrowing Facilities for Alumni Students are as follows:

Scheme 1:

Rs.5000/- : Security Deposit (Refundable) + Rs. 500/- (Annual Service Charge) (Cheque / DD in favour of Great Lakes Institute of Management payable at Chennai)

Issue

  • Text & Recommended books will be kept for reference only.
  • Resources will be issued within the issue limit of the user.
  • Books which are in high demand will not be issued.
  • The user should get the documents duly issued at the Circulation Counter.
  • The documents should be collected in person with the help of Alumni Identity Card.
  • On Display Issues of the Magazines/ Journals/ Newspapers will not be issued.

Return

  • Resources should be returned on or before the due date mentioned in the Due date Slip.
  • Due date Reminders will be sent to the User accordingly.

Renewal

  • Books can be renewed only one time for 10 days if there is no reservation against the Particular document.
  • Magazines/Journals, AV Resources (CD’s, VCD’s,DVD’s Floppies & Video Cassettes), AIRC/MMA and other Membership Cards, Course Materials, Annual Reports, Reports, News Papers will not be renewed.

Reservation

  • Resources can be reserved only when they are on loan.
  • The availability of the reserved item would be informed through e-mail/person
  • The reserved resource should be collected from RC within 48 hours (2 days) after the Intimation. Otherwise the reservation stands cancelled.

Fine Schedule

  • A Fine of Rupees 10/per document/day would be charged for overdue documents, where as Rupees 20/ per document/day if it is reserved.
  • The fine will be collected immediately when the time of returning the documents.

Lost / Damaged Resources

If any lost / damaged resource/s, the Users should replace the same resource/s or advanced edition at his/her own cost immediately. If the users fail to replace the resource/s within the Stipulated time, RC would initiate to purchase and the user would be charged the actual cost of the resource/s plus 30% the additional charge depending on the type of the resource/s and the amount will be collected with late fine.

Document Delivery Services

On Request, Printing / Photocopying of articles from academic Magazines/ Journals or books will be mailed. The fee for photo copy is 50 paise per copy and for printing, it is Rs. 1/- per copy. Mail charges applicable.

Note:

The use of RC Services would be purely for academic and personal use only. The Services under no circumstances would be used for commercial purpose.
