Academic Records & Verification

Convocation & Certificate
Distribution
Convocation is held annually in August. Graduands wishing to collect certificates in person should respond to CAA communication in the prescribed format. If attending in absentia, Form C1 is circulated post-convocation — fill itin to have certificates dispatched free of charge until the next convocation. Thereafterit becomes a paid service. Couriers are dispatched within India only.
Bonafide
Certificates
For bonafide certificates such as Medium ofInstruction, NOC, or Visa supportletters, email caa.helpdesk@greatlakes.edu.in. Soft copies are provided free of charge within 72 hours. Hard copies are a paid service and dispatched within 72 hours of request(additional couriertime applies). India only.
Duplicate
Certificates
Email caa.helpdesk@greatlakes.edu.in to request duplicate marksheets or graduation certificates. Required: FIR (lost documentreport), newspaper advertisement, notarised affidavit (Institute format), and signed Form D1. This is a paid service. Processing takes 6 weeks from receipt of all hard copies.
Background
Verification (BGV)
BGV requests must come from an employer or authorised vendor. The alumnus must share the Graduation Certificate and consolidated marksheetto initiate the process. Timeline: 72 hours from receipt ofrequest
Attestation of Marksheet &
Graduation Certificate
Attestation is a paid service. Email caa.helpdesk@greatlakes.edu.in — CAA will share Form T2 and payment details. Submit scanned Transcript and Graduation Certificate as a single multi-page colour PDF, along with Form T2 and payment screenshot. Physical attested transcripts are dispatched in a sealed envelope to an Indian address only (notto the student directly). Processing takes 10 business days from receipt of all documents.
Transfer / Migration
Certificate
Great Lakes does notissue Transfer Certificates or Migration Certificates. As an autonomous private institution (not affiliated to a university),the Graduation Certificate alone suffices. Soft copies of certificates are not provided as a matter of policy — soft copy documents are issued only with attestation and directly to the requesting agency orinstitution.

CCS TEAM
CAMPUS ENTRY
Great Lakes welcomes alumni back to campus. There are two ways to visit — a pre-scheduled visit (recommended) or a walk-in. Read the options below and pick what works for you.
Option A —
Pre-Scheduled Visit Recommended

- Submit your request atleast one working day in advance — email alumnirelations@greatlakes.edu.in or WhatsApp/call +91 73857 95009 (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM IST). Provide: full name (as perinstitute records), program, year of graduation, mobile number, number of accompanying persons, and intended date & time.
- Receive your QR Code Pass — the Alumni Relations team will log your visit and share a unique QR Code via WhatsApp or email.
- Atthe gate — present your QR Code Pass (digital is fine) and a valid governmentissued photo ID. Accompanying persons must also carry a valid photo ID. Entry and exittimes are logged in the Visitor Management System.
Option B —
Ad Hoc / Walk-In
Visit
- Alumni are welcome to walk in on any day — including weekends and public holidays — between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM (visit must conclude by 8:00 PM).
- One-time registration on the alumni portal is required: alumni.greatlakes.edu.in. Allow up to 24 working hours for verification. Once approved, your digital Alumni ID card is available under'Membership Cards' in the My Alumni Network app.
- Atthe gate — show your digital Alumni ID card and a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Driving Licence, or VoterID). Security will log your entry and exit manually.
Overnight /
Extended Stay
Ad hoc entry does not cover stays beyond 8:00 PM. For overnight or extended visits — including alumni events, academic collaborations, orinstitutional engagements — contactthe Alumni Relations team at alumnirelations@greatlakes.edu.in in advance (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM IST) with details ofthe nature, purpose, and duration of your proposed stay. The team will coordinate logistics and confirm arrangements before your visit.

Resources
Chennai-based alumni can access the Great Lakes Resource Centre — borrow books, journals, AV materials and more through two membership schemes.
Scheme 1 — ₹5,000 + ₹500 p.a.
Borrow up to 2 books (10 days), 2 journals (5 days), AV resources, and AIRC/MMA membership cards. Security depositrefundable on exit.
Scheme 2 — ₹2,500 + ₹500 p.a.
Borrow up to 1 book (10 days), 1 journal (5 days), AV resources, and AIRC/MMA membership cards. Security depositrefundable on exit.
Payment by cheque/DD in favour of Great Lakes Institute of Management, payable at Chennai. Write to alumnirelations@greatlakes.edu.in to enrol.
