Thought Leadership series begins at Great Lakes
Great Lakes organized its Distinguished Thought Leadership Series with industry titans and leaders from various domains visiting and interacting with the students of Great Lakes. All the speakers addressed the Great Lakes community of over 600 students, faculty members and staff.
In an effort to foster thought leadership along with managerial leadership and entrepreneurship, Great Lakes brings titans from different industries and domains, management gurus and thought leaders and provide the students of Great Lakes a unparalled experience of learning from these leaders. In the last few days, eminent personalities who visited Great Lakes as part of this series include:
- Mr. T Krishnakumar - President - Coca Cola, India and Southwest Asia
- Mr. S. Gurumurthy – Reputed Indian Journalist and chartered accountant
- Honorable Sh. Varun Gandhi - Member of Parliament, Sultanpur
- Dr. Madhav Rajan - Dean of the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago

Hon’ble MP of Sultanpur Mr. Varun Gandhi spoke on “Road to India’s Future: Opportunities & Challenges”. Talking about the various areas of concern and the challenges ahead for the country, Mr. Gandhi said that any social reform in the country is an outcome of a political reform and such reforms should start at the highest level and percolate down for a more meaningful outcome. Mr. Gandhi further added that one of the major issues we have been facing with politics in our country is that they are institutes of politics but not instruments of policies quoting how time spent in the Parliament discussing bills had considerably come down in the last decade and a half. Mr. Gandhi also spoke about people power and the role of younger generation in the future of Indian politics. He said, “People Power is the only power that is going to be valuable and viable in future.
