TCS day at Great Lakes
Great Lakes and TCS came together yet again for the TCS day event. Owing to the long standing relationship between Great Lakes and TCS, every year TCS day is organized at Great Lakes. The event usually has senior professionals from different domains of TCS come and address the students on varied topics of interest. The key speakers of the event were Ms, Rajashree R, Global head, Retail Practice & Solutions, TCS and Ms. Preethy Unnikrishnan, Head of campus recruitment at TCS.
Welcoming the TCS fraternity and the students, Dr. Bala V Balachandran, Dean, Founder and Chairman of Great Lakes said, “TCS has been an example to many organizations in consulting. TCS does not see consulting as a mere solution, but values customer satisfaction more and that is why they have been pioneers in many new things”. Dr. Bala along with Ms. Rajashree and Ms. Preethy inaugurated the event.
Talking about the ever changing business needs in the digital world Ms. Rajashree remarked that digitization is not about building an app, it is about building the entire eco-system. She also added that the key to success is to learn and develop solutions which are relevant to future generations.
Ms. Preethy Unnikrishnan gave inputs to the students on being business ready and apprised them of the various parameters that are desired in a B-School graduate.
The students of Great Lakes had insightful inputs across various verticals from members of TCS fraternity. Sessions were handled by Mr. Mahesh Puvvada, Sr. Consultant, Digital Banking, Mr. Anand Sampathraman, Consulting Partner-Emerging Technology & Business,Mr. Raghava S. Samudrala, Sr. Consultant, Banking & financial services, Mr. Zakhir Siddickk, Lead, Digital Marketing Group for Consumer Packaged unit,among others. Mr. Sumit Bose, Associate Consultant at TCS moderated a panel discussion with discussions on Digital Transformation and customer satisfaction. The sessions were followed by a very interactive Q&A with the students of Great Lakes.
