Great Lakes 10 year celebrations at Delhi
Following a mega opening for the ten year celebration at Bangalore, the second event took place in Delhi on the 4th of September at Taj Mansingh, New Delhi. The evening saw eminent members of the corporate, media, Great Lakes alumni and faculty attend the event.
The Chief guests for the event included Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Joint Managing Director of Hero MotoCorp and Mr. D. Shiva Kumar, CEO, PepsiCo India.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Munjal insisted B-Schools to focus on the issues which India and the world is facing as a whole. He also added that B-Schools should include topics such as ageing, health, water, technological impact on lives and agriculture, into their curriculum.
The Pepsi Co India Chairman and CEO D. Shiva kumar congratulated Great Lakes on its achievement. He said, “There are 13,000-14,000 business schools in the world and India is home to about one-fourth of them. In this environment, Great Lakes has carved a place for itself in a short span of 10 years which is a great achievement."
Later in the evening, a coffee table book titled “Global Mindset, Indian Roots — Thought leadership and beyond”, was jointly released by Mr. Munjal and Mr. D. Shiva kumar. The book is a compilation of excerpts of speeches by eminent personalities who have visited Great Lakes in the last 10 years.
