AIMA - Kewal Nohria award for Dr. Bala
Great Lakes Founder, Dean & Chairman Dr. Bala V Balachandran has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious All India Management Association’s (AIMA) - KewalNohria award for Academic Leadership in Management Education for the year 2017.
Every year, AIMA honors distinguished personalities who have made outstanding contribution in the corporate world and professional management, by conferring fellowship, honorary fellowship and awards. The Awards conferred by AIMA include the JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award, Public Service Excellence Award and Life Time Achievement Award for Management.
In order to encourage Academic Leadership in the field of Management Education, AIMA decided setting up of a new award called the ‘AIMA – KewalNohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education’ in the year 2009. The award was instituted by Mr. KewalNohria, Past President of AIMA. The objective of the award is to recognize the professional experience and academic achievement of an individual in the area of Management education. The idea is to establish the award as recognition of a significant contribution to Institution building process, an illustrious career, a role model management academic who is well respected among the community of management students, researchers, faculty and practitioners.
Past recipients of this award include Dr. Mendu Ram Mohan Rao - Dean Emeritus of Indian School of Business (ISB), Dr. Abad Ahmed - Present Chair Professor, Centre for. Management Studies, JamiaMilliaIslamia, Dr.BakulDholakhia - Former Director General of International Management Institute, New Delhi, to name a few.
