GRIP – Advanced Management Program for RBI inaugurated
A two-month Advanced Management Program designed and delivered by Great Lakes for the Reserve Bank Staff College was inaugurated at Great Lakes campus. C. Rangarajan, Ex-governor of the Reserve Bank of India inaugurated the program. Dr. Bala V Balachandran, Founder & Dean Great Lakes, Ms. Ums Subramaniam, Principal of the RBI Staff College were also present during the event.
Speaking on the inauguration, Dr. Bala said it is imperative for finance professionals to have basic management inputs at the same time a understanding of tools and framework that are applicable at work. “I encourage you to take complete advantage of this program, and take absolute control over determining the outcome of your learning experience. I hope that you will find your learning experience holistic, enriching and memorable”, he added.
Inaugurating the program, Mr. C. Rangarajan said, “All of you need to have a strong understanding on the monetary policies. I believe a strong monetary policy will make India a global economic power within the next 15 to 20 years.”
Ms. Uma Subramaniam remarked that this is the first time the RBI staff college is choosing a non-Government institution to conduct their program. She said that Great Lakes, besides being one of the reputed institutions in the country, has an excellent infrastructure and a holistic approach towards learning, which will fulfill the training needs of the RBI participants.
Great Lakes RBI Induction Program (GRIP) is a 60 days, 360 hours program for a total of 120 participants from RBI. The customized program curriculum includes financial accounting, Managerial accounting, Macroeconomics, Micro economics, Business Communication, Corporate ethics and governance, Business Analytics and Organizational Behaviour.
