The 9th Yale - Great Lakes Research Conference at Great Lakes

The 9th Yale – Great Lakes Conference was hosted at Great Lakes Chennai campus on December 29, with an objective to promote, facilitate and advance India-centric management related research.
Dr. Shyam Sunder - James L. Frank Professor of Accounting, Economics, and Finance at the Yale School of Management addressed the audience by presenting his views on ‘Managing risks in Business and Economics’. The conference had invited speakers presenting research papers on all areas of business and management including Social Intelligence, Entrepreneurial Development, etc.
This year, over 40 delegates from different countries participated in the conference. The one-day conference had series of paper and proposal presentations by Research Scholars from renowned Institutions from India such as the IIMs, IITs, Amrita, Christ University, SSN. The highlight of the event was the announcement by Prof. Bala about the introduction of PhD programs at Great Lakes in near future in collaboration with renowned foreign universities.
The session also witnessed the launch of the bi-annual journal – ‘Gravity’ for students. The theme of this edition was ‘Women at Work’ which focuses on women at work places. The conference was a grand success and it concluded with certificate distribution to all the participants.
