Eligibility

For the PGPM admission process 2026-27, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept scores of GMAT taken after 1st January 2023, CAT taken in 2024/2025, XAT taken in 2025/2026 or NMAT 2024 onwards scores.

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution
  • Candidates with 2 to 10 years of work experience are considered
  • For the PGPM admission process 2026-27, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept scores of GMAT taken after 1st January 2023, CAT taken in 2024/2025, XAT taken in 2025/2026 or NMAT 2024 onwards scores.
  • For the PGPM admission process 2026-27, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept scores of GMAT taken after 1st January 2023, CAT taken in 2024/2025, XAT taken in 2025/2026 or NMAT 2024 onwards scores. In case you have not taken any of these tests, you can also take the Great Lakes Aptitude Test (GREAT) to become eligible for PGPM – FBE

Yes, you may apply for the PGPM program and submit your application after completing all other mandatory fields. Once your aptitude test results are declared, you can update your score through your application dashboard.

Your application will initially be evaluated based on your profile. If shortlisted, you will be invited for the Interview process. However, your final admission decision will be made only after you update your aptitude test score.

Yes, you can apply for FBE and opt for GREAT test.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for PGPM - FBE.

Please note that article ship is not considered as a full-time work experience. Hence you are not eligible to apply for PGPM. However, candidates with 0-3 years of work experience are eligible to apply for the Great Lakes PGDM program.

Work experience in a family business is considered valid only if it is full-time, the business is legally registered, and all relevant documentation—such as proof of income, turnover, etc.—is available. However, if you come from a family business background and plan to return to it or start your own venture, we encourage you to apply for the PGPM - FBE program, as it is better aligned with entrepreneurial and family business career paths.

Application Form

No, you do not need to pay any additional fee to apply for both PGPM and PGPM - FBE programs.

You may mention all your test scores; we will consider the best score during the shortlisting process.

At Great Lakes, if you apply to both the campuses, your application will be evaluated by the admissions selection committee of both the campuses and you may get an offer from anyone, none or both the campuses, based on your profile and interview performance. Applying to both the campuses will not reduce your chances of getting selected for Chennai campus. Also, if you receive an offer from both the campuses, you get to choose your preference.

The application form is common for both campuses, and there is no need to pay an additional fee if you wish to apply for both programs.

Once submitted, the application cannot be edited. However, if the change pertains to your scores or work experience, details that may directly impact your shortlisting, you may contact the admissions team. They will be able to make the necessary updates from the backend.

Recommenders should ideally be superiors in your organization or professionals you have worked with or people of high standing in society who would be able to provide objective feedback about your professional achievements. We prefer professional recommendations because they are more relevant in terms of judging your professional capabilities. However, as you are a fresher, we also accept academic recommendations if it is from very senior faculty from your college.

Admissions Process

Great Lakes conduct early interviews for PGPM wherein applicants who have registered for MBA entrance exams - GMAT/CAT/XAT/NMAT but are yet to get the results - would be shortlisted and interviewed along with candidates with scores based on the strength of their profiles. This profile based early interview candidates would be considered for final offer post submissions of scores once the test results are declared and submitted.

In terms of the selection process there is no preference given to applicants in any cycle and there is a similar probability of getting selected. However, applicants submitting in Cycle 1 get some extra time to plan their finances, personal commitments and exit from companies better as they get an admit offer early.

You can reapply only if there is a change in your application. In case you have an updated score, it can be done from the application dashboard.

The recommender will be contacted via phone or email only if a discrepancy is found in the information or documents you have provided, and that too only if you are selected for the program.

This fulltime on-campus MBA program also facilitates interactions with established entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and industry veterans offering rich real-world perspectives. The curriculum also includes business plan competitions, live projects fully mentored by faculty & senior corporate leaders, business case pedagogy and start-up challenges which provide an exceptional hands-on learning experience.
