Mobility - with Nobility
The postmillennial decade experienced a sea change in digital connectivity, worldwide. Mobile Internet Access surpassed Desktop PCs. India reached the tipping point recently– 130 mn mobile- vs. 90 mn PC- Internet users. It coincided with the emergence of post-PC era.
Relevant and strong use cases drive user adoption of mobile Internet. Hence the focus of the business plan competition is on developing an Internet ecosystem that acts as glue for those who have everything in place to access mobile Internet but are most likely not using it regularly because they do not find a strong value proposition to do so. India is considered a “mobile-first” nation implying that many users have their mobile phones as their first window to the web wide world. Strong use cases motivate users to learn the device and the technology use. For example: Email motivated growth of PC-Internet. Similarly, IRCTC and Air Deccan motivated the growth of e-commerce
The contest is an invitation to innovators to develop/present strong Use Cases in any one of the three tracks:

Web and Mobile Technology
The submissions will be pivoted on compelling use cases that can help public, private and the NGO sector benefit from the large potential of the emerging web and mobility technologies, utilizing the emergent features of “off-deck” services to deliver economic, social and environmental sustainability.
The use cases which can help close the digital divide through innovative mobility solutions that provide benefits of information and communication technology to the bottom of the pyramid, and sectors that have not benefitted from the digital technology such as agriculture, natural resources management, health care and education, to deliver economic, social and environmental sustainability.
