Panel Discussion : Fall of Crude Oil Prices and its impact on Global Economy

Monday, 16 March 2015 | 10:00 am to 12:00 pm | Great Lakes, Gurgaon

Price changes generally result in redistribution of income among the economic agents. If it is crude oil price, the redistribution is seen across the globe. In the short term, India has benefited in terms of benign Current Account Deficit and Inflation. Cheap gas has helped US in its economic recovery and likely dominance in future. But, countries like Russia and Venezuela have suffered miserably due to the plummeted price. Of course, there are other factors also to blame for their misery, but, fallen price of crude oil is largely regarded as the prime factor. Middle-East is searching for its own solutions in this ‘Sheikh vs Shale’ imbroglio. It is quite important to understand how things are likely to unfold in the days to come.
