V.Pradeep obtained his Ph.D (Economics) from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore (Tamilnadu) in 2007 in the area of Industrial Economics. His doctoral research is about the Growth, Factor Productivities, Factor Substitution, Technical Progress and Technical Efficiency in small scale engineering industries.
He had two stints as a post-doctoral researcher. One in National Central University, Taiwan (2007-2010) and another in North-West University, Potchefstroom campus, South Africa(2011-2012). After those stints, he joined as an Economist in Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF&CC), New Delhi and worked there from July 2012 to June 2015.
His teaching interestsare in Microeconomics and Econometrics and research interests areproductivity and efficiency analysis, regional performance and FDI.
