Dr.G.Sathis Kumar obtained his PhD from the Gandhigram Rural Institute – Deemed University, Gandhigram (Tamil Nadu) in 2010. He has more than 10 years of academic experience. Prior to joining Great Lakes, he was working as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Gandhigram Rural Institute – Deemed University, Tamil Nadu). He has also worked at Alagappa University, Karaikudi and Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. His teaching interests include Micro Economics, Resource Economics, and Sustainable Development.

Dr.Sathis Kumar has conducted many training sessions on life skills development for school children and sessions on positive thought for college students and employees of corporates and community development workers.

Dr.Sathis Kumar has published two books, six research papers in referred and peer-reviewed national international journals, and seven chapters in different edited books. With his vast research contributions, he has been honored with membership in editorial boards of three international journals including Emerald and APA Journals. He is also serving as honorary consultant for the non-government organizations working for society and sustainability.
