When a vision is set, it takes not only man-hours, but also immense dedication and passion to help the vision turn into reality.

An example worth its weight in gold is the case of the Great Lakes Institute of Management. From its humble beginnings in 2004 inside a rented plot at Saidapet to, becoming one of the most sought after business schools in the nation, the college sure is a worthy example.

From the small 12000 square feet leased space, this vision transcended its boundaries, thrived, flourished and developed into, the campus at the picturesque hamlet of Mamallapuram. The 1.2 million square feet campus boasts of being South Asia’s first LEED Platinum rated campus where the central theme was – going green.

With this accreditation Great Lakes has now entered the prestigious AMBA hall of fame that boasts of big names like INSEAD, LBS and likes.

With the foothold set right, Great Lakes now has a strong alumni base of 3000+, spread across 28 countries in various geographies. With the belief that a Great Laker has all the elements to get going, be it in the country or abroad, the induction of Mandarin as a compulsory subject is the right ingredient to suit up to the global competitive advantage.

Learning is not only about classroom exercises, and Great Lakes staunchly stands by this belief, which is why this college puts you through Karma Yoga- the Leadership Experiential Program to take you close to the ground realities of what makes you a leader.

The curriculum also boasts of empirical studies- the hands on experiential learning of what it takes to be business ready manager. Great Lakes also has tie ups with various foreign universities for student exchanges and semester abroad programs.
