The growing demand for quality managers can never be over emphasized. Keeping in tune with this emerging need, we at GREAT LAKES offer an opportunity for students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds to enhance their managerial skills and leadership abilities. The Post Graduate Program in Management that we offer has been designed by the Academic Advisory Council, which comprises the best from the world of managerial academia. This in turn has been streamlined with inputs from the institute’s illustrious Business Advisory Council, to meet industry requirements.
The 164 students in this PGPM class of 2008 were carefully handpicked from the thousands who sought admission. They were selected based on their intelligence, ethical values, academic performance, leadership potential, team-building skills, analytical skills and their ability to cope with the pressure of a fast-track one year course. These students will be taken through our intensive and rigorous course curriculum by our world-class faculty in collaboration with distinguished adjuncts and guest lectures from industry experts. Visits by management educators and business professionals from various companies give our students wider exposure in this highly competitive arena, which in turn reinforces the inherent advantage of GREAT LAKES - ‘Global Mindsets, Indian Roots’ Propelled by Intellect and Steered by Ethical Values.
Our course is designed to equip students with not only the necessary professional and functional skills but also with broad domain knowledge. With our newly created requirements of ‘Internships’ outside the campus with Corporate all over India, the ‘Empirical Study’ which requires submission of thesis carried out over the period of an year and the ‘Karma Yoga’ project as a part of Social Responsibilities which transforms “handicapped” individuals into “handiCapable” individuals for India, we are committed to transforming all these 164 students into not just better managers but Much Better Achievers (MBA’s). |
