The Entrepreneur Mantra – Fail, Fail, Fail, Succeed. Repeat.

Posted by admin on August 21, 2017

Lakshitaa from PGPM Class of 2018 writes about the Guest Lecture that was organized last month at the campus where Mr. Sanil Sachar, Author & Entrepreneur, known well among the millennials, delivered a motivational speech, inspired and interacted with students on moving towards success after failure.

“A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” – Albert Einstien

Last month, Great Lakes welcomed the young entrepreneur, Mr. Sanil Sachar to address the budding entrepreneurs of PGPM ’18 batch. Mr. Sachar is a co-owner of a leading global sports brand, TruSox. He has also authored 120 poems, 25 short stories, 2 plays and a novel. He is a mentor for writers, guest columnist for Business World Disrupt and The Huffington Post, movie producer and a prominent motivational speaker.

Mr. Sachar motivated the students by talking about how failure can lead to success. He erased the general fear of failures by saying, one can overcome failure by accepting it, learning from it and working harder with perseverance in order to achieve their goals. He inspired the audience by sharing his journey of failures which eventually led him to success. Mr. Sachar then engaged the students in a couple of activities that brought out the individuality of every
student. He showed how thoughts of each person are different and that is what counts. A successful leader should be both creative and innovative, a simple act of using a pen as a ruler shows the creativity of a person he said.

Sanil also talked about how feedback can help people grow and hence, one should always be open to receiving feedbacks. He then threw the floor open to questions, where students were brimming with various questions on entrepreneurship. Sanil’s engaging session had already inspired the students to be more creative and innovative in order to be a successful entrepreneur. The students left the hall with more conviction of choosing the entrepreneurial path.
